Admission Information

Covenant Canadian Reformed Teachers College in Hamilton, Ontario, offers programs of study for those who are members of a Reformed Christian church and who are interested in pursuing a teaching vocation in a Reformed Christian school.

The Board of the College invites applications from prospective students for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Application deadline: February 1, 2025

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

For the Two-Year Diploma of Education Program: a suitable university degree.

For the Three-Year Diploma of Teaching Program: a grade 12 diploma with university entrance equivalence.

ADMISSION PROCEDURES

The following steps describe the application procedure:

  1. Prospective applicants contact the Recruitment and Admissions Officer, Mr. Mark den Hollander, in order to initiate the application process by emailing admissions@covenantteacherscollege.com or submit an Admission Consultation Request. The College strongly encourages applicants to arrange a site visit during this initial stage.
  2. Applicants should complete the Application for Admission package for their chosen program. All required admission documents are available for completion/download below.
  3. Applicants arrange to have official transcripts from previously attended educational institutions (high school, community college, university, etc.) sent directly to the Admissions Office.
  4. For applications to be processed, a non-refundable $35 application processing fee and all required documents must reach the College by February 1. Documents and E-Transfers can be sent to admissions@covenantteacherscollege.com or mailed to the address below.
  5. It is the applicant's responsibility to submit final transcripts as soon as they become available.
  6. An interview is mandatory for non-Canadian/American Reformed applicants. A member of the Board of Governors will be present at this interview. Only those who are accepted into the College will be contacted for an interview.

APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION

To complete the Application for Admission, please use the forms and links below for your chosen program: Diploma of Education or Diploma of Teaching. For your convenience, we offer a few options for completion of these forms:

Web Form Version - With this option, you or your reference will fill in the form(s) and when complete, click "Click to Approve" or "Click to Sign". Adobe will ask that you verify your email address to complete the process (please check your inbox including spam/junk folders) to click the link to finalize (if this step is not completed your form will not be sent or saved and will need to be re-completed). After you click the verification link, the form will automatically be sent directly to the CCRTC Office and you (or your reference) will receive an email confirmation.

Fillable/Printable PDF Version - With this option, you or your reference may fill in the PDF on a computer and either save the completed pdf (save with changes) to the computer or print out the completed form. Alternatively, a blank form may be printed and filled in by hand. With these options, please email to admissions@covenantteacherscollege.com or mail your completed forms to the CCRTC Office at the mailing address above.
